PROJECT: Practical Approach to the Conduct of Software FMEA

Project Chair: Dev Raheja, Design For Competitiveness Consultant

Objectives:
  • Write information report describing software FMEA task activities within a system context.
    		•
    Approach:
  • Use basic tasks for FMEA, FTA, Hazard Analysis, and other safety-specific methods in JA1003 as reference point and expand upon the information
  • Relate approach to software reliability and software safety cases
  • Coordinate with existing software safety initiatives (e.g., AC326, NATO Ammunition Safety, Mike Brown US)
